About

My name is Allie Engelhart and I am a rising junior at Miami University studying Marketing, Interactive Media Studies, and Entrepreneurship. On campus I am the Vice President of Public Relations for my business fraternity, Pi Sigma Epsilon, I am a member of the Center for Business Excellence within the Farmer School of Business, I am a founder of the Not-a-Center for Creativity within the Entrepreneurship Institute, and I ride for the Miami University Equestrian Team.

My hometown is Cincinnati, Ohio and some of my huge family still lives there today including my dad, stepmom, and brother. I love everything about Cincinnati from the Reds to Montgomery Inn to Fountain Square; I could definitely see myself living there after college.

My personal hobbies include spending time with friends and family, exercising, playing/watching sports, being outdoors, riding horses, traveling, reading, and learning new things. Professionally I enjoy projects pertaining to  entrepreneurship, social media marketing, digital branding, and public relations.

This summer I will spend 6 weeks in London with the Highwire Brand Studio Program, 7 weeks in Chicago working for a startup called BuildIn, and 1 week in Cincinnati for a Procter & Gamble workshop while also taking 2 online classes. While my summer does seem fast paced it is very reflective of my everyday lifestyle and I’m loving every minute of it so far!

Overall, I’m a hard worker who is committed to my family, friends, and pursuit of learning. If you want to learn more you can take a look at my website: www.allieengelhart.com

This blog is dedicated to documenting all of my work for my IMS 407 Interactive Business Communication Course. In these next 8 weeks I plan on developing my communication skills while learning how to enhance my personal brand both on and offline. The title of the blog was inspired by my brand and I’m excited to see how the overall portfolio develops throughout the summer. Thanks for coming on this journey with me and I hope you enjoy!
